This beautifully contoured (winged?) is the home ground of Avispa Fukuoka football team. It’s location in Fukuoka- Japan’s 8th largest city with a population of 5 million- is however rugby country.

The good news is that it’s easy to get to. You can even walk to the venue in 30 mins from Fukuoka airport’s domestic terminal or get a bus or taxi from the city. Don’t confuse the venue with the nearby Hakatanomori Athletic Stadium (they are pretty close- see below image!)
