These bags are made by tailoring trainees in a poor urban township. The money they have earned in making them will help pay their children’s school fees and buy food for their family. Our tailoring school is one of the many enterprises in the Beehive Center for Social Enterprise, founded by Mobal’s Chairman in 2007. Cotton material used to make the bags was grown, processed, woven and printed in Malawi. Our tailors have learned new skills and are then able to buy a sewing machine at a dramatically subsidized rate. With skills and equipment, many start their own business providing them with long-term income. We have made a positive impact in their lives.
Mobal’s unique products deliver the best quality international calls easily, while providing enterprising help to some of Africa’s most needy people. So every time you use your Mobal cell phone, you help make the world a better place.
