This year marks a very special milestone for Seibo Japan. Together with our supporters, partners, volunteers, and donors, we are celebrating 10 years of helping provide school meals to children in Malawi.

To commemorate this achievement, we welcomed guests to our anniversary event, “Friday in Malawi,” held on 25 September. It was an evening filled with connection, gratitude, and a shared commitment to creating opportunities for children through education and nutrition.

The event brought together 74 guests from across our community, including representatives from donor companies, educational institutions, individual supporters, Seibo board members, and student volunteers. Throughout the evening, attendees shared stories, made new connections, and learned more about the impact we have achieved together over the past decade.

Many guests described the event as a gathering of kind and inspiring people. Others highlighted the unique opportunity to connect with representatives from Malawi and gain a deeper understanding of the communities their support helps every day.

We are incredibly grateful to Salesforce Japan for generously providing the venue and helping make the evening possible.

We were also honoured to welcome two distinguished guests from the Embassy of the Republic of Malawi in Japan: Mr. Dyson Constance Msungeni, Investment and Trade Attaché, and Ms. Beatrice Nyengo Kasakatira, Counsellor. Their contributions, from delivering opening remarks to supporting the charity raffle and providing Malawian prizes, added a truly special touch to the celebration.

Most importantly, we would like to thank everyone who attended and supported the event. Through ticket sales, merchandise purchases, and raffle participation, together we raised enough funds to provide approximately 30,000 school meals for children in Malawi.

This achievement is a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished when a community comes together with a shared purpose.

As we look ahead to the next chapter of Seibo Japan’s journey, we remain committed to expanding our impact and supporting even more children through school meal programmes. Thank you for being part of these first 10 years, and for helping us build an even brighter future.
